Brazen! My situation shamelessly exploited - The car breakdown

I was visiting boyfriends in Bavaria at the weekend and drove through the most rural areas in my new car. So far it's never had any problems, but then in the middle of nowhere of all places it makes such strange noises and just cuts out... Great. I come to a halt in a small forest and of course have no network to call anyone. At least I'm lucky and a pedestrian comes along and is even willing to help me! The Bavarians are just nice people... two or three steps and my car is working again. But what does he want in return for the repair? Pretty cheeky to take advantage of my situation like that, isn't it? I almost had no choice but to get down on my knees in front of him and pay my debt.
